Open Road Resorts Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of AB Camping & RV Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming
Cheyenne, WY — April 29, 2025 — Open Road Resorts (ORR) announced the acquisition of AB Camping & RV Park, a 125-site property strategically located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This addition brings ORR's portfolio to six premium RV properties nationwide.
AB Camping & RV Park offers exceptional accessibility near the intersection of Interstates 80 and 25, one of America's busiest crossroads. Known for strong overnight traffic, the park is conveniently close to popular attractions like Cheyenne Frontier Days, an annual event drawing thousands for rodeos and country music performances. Further demand is anticipated from ongoing local developments by Microsoft and Facebook.
Immediate improvements to select amenities are planned, with more extensive upgrades scheduled for the quieter fall and winter months. "We plan comprehensive enhancements including new premium RV sites," said James Omstrom, co-founder of ORR alongside Chase Becker. "Additionally, we are acquiring another acre nearby for future expansion."
The acquisition complements ORR’s existing parks, enhancing cross-promotion among locations in Nebraska, Idaho, and New Mexico.
